Milestones:
You’ve probably heard a million times that the Louvre Museum is the biggest in the world. Okay, okay. But is that going to sell it to your children? They are so small and the museum is so gigantic! The Louvre can be a fabulous place for children when you hold the key to their curiosity! That’s why we have planned a very creative and fun Louvre for Kids tour to engage them.
They will have to unravel a mystery inside the Louvre! Your art historian expert will guide them through every step in an amusing and informative way! They will be exploring Egyptian mythology, Greek Latin Antiques and, of course, Italian Art, such as the famous Mona Lisa!
At first, your guide will give your kids an activity booklet, tailor-made by age range (from 3 to 6 or 7 to 12 years old). They will follow the same course, but with adapted challenges. Actors of their tour, they will see and discuss works of art in a relaxed atmosphere ‑ with drawing or coloring activities for the younger ones.
In every step of their progress in solving the enigma, their observational skills will help them advance! With each answer, they will win a clue written on a card. Once the whole set of cards has been collected, all the clues put together will lead them to solve the puzzle!
But this Louvre for Kids tour is not only focused on your children! Everyone in your family will see the main masterpieces of the museum and will learn a ton from your “Mary Poppins” guide’s knowledge. We guarantee a great recipe for a successful family experience!
And if you have already visited the Louvre Museum, check out our Orsay Museum Kids tour if you’re looking for other awesome activities in Paris made for kids and families!
Important Remark: The Louvre is closed every Tuesday and therefore this tour cannot be booked on that day.
Your dear children should be at least 3 years old for the best experience. But your whole family is welcome and as it is a private activity, we can totally adapt this Louvre for Kids tour!
As long as it is not a jogging stroller, you can bring your stroller, and can even borrow one at the Louvre if you don’t have yours with you.
Just advise our superhero squad in your request form about the number of people in your party, as well as their category (adult or child), so we’ll be able to tell you about the extra fee per additional person to book this Louvre treasure hunt.

Camille was exceptional and has exceeded all of our expectations! She somehow had the magic to please all four of us, including my two 8 and 9 year old kids! She gave my husband and I such in-depth knowledge that we got to appreciate Paris in a different level! At the same time, she was able to get my two kids so engaged with the treasure hunt at the Louvre and stories that triggered their interest as well! My kids probably couldn’t distinguish Louis XIII – XVI prior to the trip. Now, they can identify, name their queens, and recite important facts of each king! All from Camille!

Overall we really enjoyed this tour. We saw many highlights in the Louvre and our host was knowledgeable and interesting. Our 8 year old daughter enjoyed the treasure hunt. We felt a bit rushed, the tour last about 90 minutes and we were expecting it to be closer to two hours. I think if we had spent a little more time before the tour thinking about what we wanted to see at the Louvre that may have helped. Still, I would recommend this tour, especially for first time visitors to the Louvre with young children.

5 Star’s for Sebastian and his personal touch with tours, my wife-kids- granny and myself all wish we had booked more time with him while in Paris. This guy is great, from his charm and dedication to the arts he kept us all informed and interested. This is a valuable service we will not forget, as he kept a 7 yr old, 9 yr old and 60 yr old women all involved and kept us eager for more with his presentation throughout the day. He has a scavenger hunt lined up from stop to stop and it was the trick to teaching us and keeping my kids from getting bored, nobody was bored and I will highly suggest all to use his service. We will make more reservations with you on our next trip. Kind Regards the Thalheimer family.

The Louvre was great. Just know this isn’t you and your spouse holding hands for six hours in a quiet museum. The treasure hunt allows mom and dad to see what we want to see and for the kids to be engaged and entertained. My 7 year old wanted to finish to booklets and treasures ahead of time. They were really engaged.

Meet the Locals group was incredible with our family while in Paris. We had a Louvre Tour with fun experiences/information for our kids and interesting historical details for the adults. We also used MtL for a Chocolate Tour around St. Germains which was as enjoyable as it sounds. Best part of all was the guides who were extremely patient, well informed, and gracious with their time. When one store on the chocolate tour was closed for 15 minutes, she independently ran back at the end of the tour to bring back the mousse for the group. We also mentioned to her that we would be going to a neighboring city in France and she provided a detailed email that night about the city sights before our arrival there. Such a generous, helpful person and it helped set the tone for our experience in Paris.
