For 3 hours, your kids will be engaged with a playful booklet that includes games and riddles to solve. Each one of them will unveil one hidden or quirky story about Paris. From the Middle Ages to the French Revolution, this fun tour was designed as a journey back in time to inspire your entire family and to let you unveil fascinating details and curiosities about Paris that you may never have discovered on your own.

Meet our amazing storyteller near one the most impressive Gallo-Roman sites in Paris: the Cluny thermae. You will start your journey in Antiquity and your guide will entice your kids’ imagination, which will beg for more.

Good news is you will keep traveling in time through the Latin Quarter – a gem of Ancient and Middle Ages testimonies. Spot traces of other periods and observe the epic history still present in the streets of Paris today.

Learn the history of Paris in a fun way with this tour designed for kids and teens!

Let’s walk a bit more to reach Paris’s two natural islands: Ile de la Cité and Ile Saint Louis. Walk through the charming streets of the Cité island where you will get to spot the iconic Notre-Dame cathedral. You will then discover the Saint Louis island, with its quaint medieval atmosphere.

Stroll along the Seine River to step into the Marais, the heart of historical Paris. Private mansions, hidden gardens, splendid churches – you name it! Your guide will show you timeless wonders that you will see only in this neighborhood, behind closed walls and secret passages.

FAQ

Is this History of Paris family tour recommended for young children?

We recommend this tour for kids over 10 years old as there’s some walking to do. But younger children can join and participate, as there’s nothing licentious during the tour.

Can we slow down if the kids feel a sudden fatigue?

Of course! This tour is made for your family, first and foremost! Your “Mary Poppins” guide will be more than happy to include additional stops while managing the schedule.

What happens if it rains during the tour?

Our tours run, rain or shine! But don’t worry, if it rains, your guide will opt for covered stops whenever possible.

Can we still do this tour if we have more than 6 people?

The more the merrier! Just advise our superhero squad in your request form about the number of people in your party, as well as their category (adult or child), so we’ll be able to tell you about the extra fee per additional person to book this tour.

Cancellation Policy

      • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a full refund. Exceptions are: for tours with tickets we charge a 20% cancellation fee; for the Eiffel Tower and Versailles tours (see below for specific cancellation charges).
      • Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the date of your tour will receive a 50% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the date of your tour will be charged in full.

      For Eiffel Tower activities:

      • Cancellations made 5 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a 60% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 5 days of the date of your tour will be charged in full.

      For Versailles:

      • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the date of your tour will be charged a 250€ cancellation fee.
      • Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the date of your tour will receive a 50% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the date of your tour will be charged in full.

      For Workshops and Classes:

      • Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the date of your workshop/class will receive a 50% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 10 days of the workshop/class will be charged in full.

      For cruises, Tuk-tuk & Sidecar:

      • Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a full refund.
      • Cancellations made between 10 days and 5 days prior to the date of your tour will receive a 50% refund.
