Paris by night is a unique experience, even for long-time Parisian residents. And anyone who has ever seen it at night knows that it is truly magnificent! But how can you possibly see the illuminations all across the city in the dark? By van, of course! This is the only way to make the most of the brilliant illuminations all across the city of Paris. This is not to be missed. It is the main purpose of this tour. The second one is to allow you to make the most of the City of Lights in the comfortable shelter of a classy vehicle. Whether you have little kids that don’t walk much or teens that are hard to engage, seeing Paris’s sights by van will be utter convenience! Whether this is your first time in Paris or you are a repeat visitor.
Your guide will meet you at the place the most convenient for you (hotel apartment or any place in Paris). Your private chauffeur will take advantage of an ideal route, traveling through the heart of Paris ‑ and even beyond. At night, all the great monuments are dressed in light, their architectures emphasized, their smallest details underlined. From Notre-Dame to the Louvre, from Place de la Concorde to the Eiffel Tower, you will follow the Seine, guided by the river streams. You will be entertained with anecdotes and historical snippets from a kid-friendly expert. Of course, stops are always possible for you to take some beautiful pictures of Paris with your loved ones. And if you have a special wish, your chauffeur and your guide will be pleased to tailor the experience to you.
To start your ride, no great tour of Paris by night is without a tribute paid to Notre-Dame, the oldest Lady in town. She stands in the middle of the city, so white when lit by the sun’s rays, and even whiter when the spotlights make her shine through the night, unveiling all the details of the medieval sculptures.
Following the Seine’s left bank, you will pass the Saint Michel Fountain, with beautiful water displays emphasized by lightings. Soon, the Pont-Neuf looms, the oldest stone bridge in the city. Lighter and nonetheless elegant, the Pont des Arts was the first pedestrian bridge in Paris, from which the view of the dark Seine River is worth the experience.
During the next part of your drive, you’ll take advantage of beautiful perspectives of the Louvre façades. When the dark vegetation of the Tuileries is in sight, turn towards your side of the river, and the majestic Orsay Museum exterior will be all yours. A huge clock on each pavilion requires an explanation, as do some letters hidden within the decoration.
From there, two streams of car lights, red or yellow, will lead your eye along the Champs-Elysées, up to the Arc de Triomphe. On your way to the Eiffel Tower, you will see the marvelous Alexander III Bridge and beyond, the majestic Invalids esplanade. From there, the Eiffel Tower is already visible.
We’ll try to make sure you catch it on the hour when 20,000 bulbs create a short-lived lace of light all over the tower for 5 minutes. You may be at a loss for words for a while. For sure, this moment constitutes the climax of your night tour and will remind you and your family, once at home, of the enriching ride you took with Meet the Locals.

Is this tour recommended for young kids?
A van tour is ideal for young children, as there is no walking! While it is a night tour, the sun sets around 5pm in winter and 9pm in summer, so you can still see some illuminations before the kiddos’ bedtimes.
