Your journey begins in the morning when your chauffeur picks you up from your hotel or apartment in Rome. Get comfortable in your private van and enjoy the ride—it takes about 2.5 hours to reach Pompeii. Around 3 hours. Pompeii covers nearly 170 acres (about 66 hectares), making it one of the largest archaeological sites in the world. While it would take days to explore everything, our guided tour focuses on the most fascinating and well-preserved areas, giving you a great overview of daily life in ancient Rome.

Our skip-the-line tickets allow direct entry, but there may still be a short wait for security checks at the entrance.

Is Pompeii kid-friendly?

Absolutely! With our expert guide bringing the ruins to life through fun stories and interactive discoveries, kids stay engaged and entertained throughout the visit. While Pompeii involves a lot of walking on uneven cobblestone streets with little shade, wearing sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will help keep everyone comfortable. The drive to Pompeii is in a spacious, air-conditioned vehicle, so you can relax before and after the adventure.

Can we bring a stroller or a wheelchair?

Pompeii is not very stroller- or wheelchair-friendly. The ancient streets are made of uneven cobblestones, with many steps and obstacles along the way—it can feel like an obstacle course! If you’re traveling with young children, a baby carrier is a much better option than a stroller. For wheelchair users, some limited accessible paths exist, but navigating the site remains very challenging. 

Is this Pompeii day tour suitable for teenagers?

Yes! Teens usually find Pompeii fascinating, especially with our guide bringing the ruins to life through intriguing stories and surprising facts. From ancient homes to Roman temples, they’ll explore the site in a way that makes history exciting and engaging!

Can we start and end the tour in different locations?

      For Versailles:
