Montmartre is a beautiful and artistic district of Paris – certainly a must-see! But we know that visiting new places with kids and teens can be tricky sometimes. Luckily for you and your family, we have created an awesome detective inquiry in Montmartre to engage the whole family while discovering this lovely neighborhood!

As you embark on your inquiry, the young investigators will solve riddles while visiting the Montmartre classics (Sacré Coeur, Place du Tertre, windmills, vineyards, cabarets, etc.) and some more remote places. Through fun and engaging enigmas, they will also discover famous artists and their marvelous masterpieces.

Through your kids’ detective skills, you will relive some important moments of Montmartre history while the whole family will be engaged in solving the mystery of the Montmartre thief.

Unleash the investigative skills of your teens with this detective inquiry in Montmartre

The case: After a series of robberies in the lovely Montmartre neighborhood, we are in search of skilled detectives, motivated and determined, to help with the investigation. An anonymous source has collected evidence from the streets but has to keep their identity unknown. Can you help?

Be careful, the thief is strange as well as mysterious, and it’s been rumored that he has the ability to walk through walls…it won’t be an easy task! There is no time to wait, so please hurry! This matter is of grave importance.

At the beginning of the inquiry, your teen-friendly guide will give the young sleuths an anonymous letter explaining the details of the case, with the first clue. Every clue solved will lead to another letter and clue to solve. At the end, they will need to crack a code to be able to discover the location where this burglar has been hiding!

This detective inquiry is definitely an awesome way to stimulate your kids’ growing minds while uncovering the secrets of Montmartre as a family!

We recommend this tour for children 8 and up. If you have younger kids, we would love for you to try out our fun Montmartre Safari tour here.

Will we get to visit the inside of Sacre Cœur during this tour?

Going inside the Sacré-Coeur is not included in this visit. However, you can easily visit it by yourselves after the tour since your last stop is near it.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Our tours always run, rain or shine! While this tour is outside, our “Mary Poppins” guides will do their best to keep you out of the rain/snow, so dress for the weather and enjoy!

Cancellation Policy

      • Should the cancellation occur more than 7 days before the beginning of the Activity, we will refund you the full amount of the Reservation, Except for the tours with tickets, on which we retain 20% to cover their reservation cost, and except the Eiffel Tower and Versailles activities (see below for more details).
      • Should the cancellation occur between 7 days and 48 hours before the beginning of the Activity, we will refund you 50% of the Reservation.
      • We will not make any refund for cancellations occurring less than 48 hours before the beginning of the Activity.

      For Eiffel Tower activities:

      • Should the cancellation occur between the day of your reservation and 5 days before the activity, we will refund you 60% of the Reservation.
      • We will not make any refund for cancellations occurring less than 5 days before the beginning of the Activity.

      For Versailles:

      • Should the cancellation occur between the day of your reservation and 7 days before the activity, there will be a 250€ of cancellation fees.
      • Should the cancellation occur between 7 days and 48 hours before the beginning of the Activity, we will refund you 50% of the Reservation.
      • We will not make any refund for cancellations occurring less than 48 hours before the beginning of the Activity.

      For Workshops and Classes:

      • Should the cancellation occur at least 10 days before the beginning of the Activity, we will refund you 50% of the reservation.
      • We will not make any refund for cancellations occurring less than 10 days before the beginning of the Activity.

      For cruises, Tuk-tuk & Sidecar:

      • Should the cancellation occur 10 days before your tour, we will refund you the full amount of the Reservation.
      • Should the cancellation occur between 10 days and 5 days before your tour, we will refund you 50% of the Reservation.
      • We will not make any refund for cancellations occurring less than 5 days before the beginning of your tour.
