Planning a fun trip to Versailles with your family and teenagers will be child’s play thanks to our 6-hour Versailles Palace and Segway tour!

Meet your family-friendly, expert guide in central Paris for a casual train ride to reach Versailles. Once you have arrived, admire the golden gate of Versailles palace and skip the long queues thanks to your guide and dedicated access. Now that’s a royal entry! You will only have to enjoy the sumptuous scenery that awaits you.

This tour has been specially designed to engage the whole family in a thrilling historical adventure. Our talented historian guide will ask you to pick up a card that illustrates the fascinating life of characters who lived at the Court of Versailles. You’ll be invited to travel back in time to uncover how your character lived when kings and queens used to rule over France. Throughout the tour, your family will be amazed by the everyday life at the Court! We guarantee this interactive game will appeal to even the shyest teen!

Once in the Palace, you will discover the Sun King’s and Queen’s State apartments, the royal bedchambers, and the renowned Hall of Mirrors decorated with over 350 mirrors! You will get to see how kings and queens of France used to live, you will hear about the luxurious life at the Court of Versailles, and learn why Versailles Palace is one of the greatest symbols of royalty in France. Get your eyes ready for some sparkles and awe.

A Versailles teens tour with a Segway ride meticulously crafted to entertain them

Continue this interactive journey in the Versailles royal gardens. Look at an immense domain designed by Le Nôtre, the most prestigious gardener of the 17th century. ‘À la Française’ gardens, fountains, ornamental lakes and parks, you name it! This estate will provide a relaxing walk and fantastic historical experience.

Now it will be time to step back into modernity with a 60-min Segway tour around the grounds! Get on your Segway safely and wander in the gardens to spot the Grand Canal, Marie-Antoinette’s Hamlet, and the Trianons. You will get to see so much more than if you had chosen to walk. You will have explored the Versailles palace and gardens to the fullest!

It will soon be time to return to Paris. Your private guide will have given your return train tickets before your Segway tour. Feel free to do more exploration in Versailles or to go back to Paris.

The Palace of Versailles is closed every Monday and therefore this tour cannot be booked on that day.

– On the following days, your entrance ticket includes access to the Musical Fountains Show:

  • Every Saturday and Sunday from March 30 to October 27, 2024.
  • Every Tuesday from May 7 to June 25 2024.
  • Friday March 29, Easter Monday April 1, Wednesday May 8 and Thursday May 9, Whit Monday May 20, and Thursday August 15.


– On the following days, your entrance ticket includes access to the Musical Gardens:

  • Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from April 2 to May 3, 2024 (except Wednesday, May 1).
  • Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from May 10 to June 28, 2024.
  • Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from July 2 to October 31, 2024 (except Thursday August 15, when Musical Fountains Show takes place).
FAQ

Is it possible to do our Versailles kids tour in the morning?

Yes it is possible! Though we usually recommend our travelers to do it in the afternoon so they can have lunch before. If you prefer to do it in the morning, please use our request form and we will check if there is an availability.

Is this Versailles teens tour recommended for young children?

We have designed this Versailles and Segway tour for families with teenagers. Be aware that children under 12 years are not allowed to ride Segways. For younger children, we would recommend our Versailles Kids Tour.

Is it possible to have transfers by private van instead of taking the train?

Yes, this is something we can do! The extra cost is 750€ for a maximum of 6 people. If your party is bigger (the more, the merrier), we will give you a quote for a minibus.

Is the Segway tour safe?

Yes of course! Just before your Segway tour, you will be provided with safety helmets and instructions.

Do I have to go back to Paris directly after this tour?

You may remain in the Gardens of Versailles at the end of this Versailles with Teens tour, if you wish. Your access to the Gardens is valid all day long. You may also stay longer in Versailles to explore this charming city and return to Paris whenever you want (your return ticket is included).

What if we have more than 6 people?

You can advise our superhero squad in your request form about the number of people in your party, as well as their category (adult or teen), so we’ll be able to tell you about the extra fee per additional person.

Cancellation Policy

      • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a full refund. Exceptions are: for tours with tickets we charge a 20% cancellation fee; for the Eiffel Tower and Versailles tours (see below for specific cancellation charges).
      • Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the date of your tour will receive a 50% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the date of your tour will be charged in full.

      For Eiffel Tower activities:

      • Cancellations made 5 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a 60% refund.
      • Bookings cancelled within 5 days of the date of your tour will be charged in full.

      For Versailles:

      • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the date of your tour will be charged a 250€ cancellation fee.
      • Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the date of your tour will receive a 50% refund.

      For Workshops and Classes:

      • Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the date of your workshop/class will receive a 50% refund.

      • Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the date of your tour will receive a full refund.
