A True Cooking Class in Rome to Master Fresh Pasta and Traditional Italian Sauces

The session focuses on the fun, tactile heritage of fresh pasta, using traditional tools that children quickly master. You will create golden strands of tagliatelle with a chitarra and shape cavatelli using a wooden rigagnocchi. To bring these shapes to life, your family will prepare two sauces full of Italian flavor: a comforting four-cheese sauce designed for kids and a classic amatriciana, with a vegetarian-friendly option available.

Is this class suitable for very young children?

Absolutely. We’ve designed this experience specifically for families. Your local host adapts the pace so that even the youngest chefs can enjoy shaping the pasta and dipping ladyfingers for their own tiramisu.

Will we be cooking in a professional kitchen?

No, and that is what makes it special. You will be welcomed into a real, lived-in Roman apartment. It is a warm, private environment where your family can feel at home and relax away from the busy city crowds.

Is the class entirely private for my family?

Yes. This is a Private Family Cooking Class. You won’t be sharing the table with strangers. It’s just your family and your local host, ensuring a completely personalized atmosphere where you can cook at your own rhythm.

Can we have a vegetarian menu?

Yes, absolutely! We can easily prepare vegetarian-friendly versions of our sauces Just let us know  when booking. Please note: as we use traditional recipes with fresh eggs and dairy, we are unable to provide a vegan (plant-based) menu.

Can we make pizza instead of pasta?

Absolutely! If your family prefers pizza, we can switch the menu to a private pizza-making session. Just let us know your preference when booking.

Can we learn to make other types of pasta, like ravioli or gnocchi?

We can easily adapt the menu and prepare other types of fresh pasta such as ravioli or gnocchi. Just let us know what you’d like to master when you book your private session.

Do we get to eat what we cook?

Of course! After the hands-on session, the whole family sits down together at the table to share the full Italian meal you have prepared. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the fruits of your labor in a genuine family atmosphere.
